Description / Abstract:
Type I: This type is for general purpose use.
Classes L and M: Grades 1 and 2 are suggested for applications
requiring different levels of tensile strength.
Class H: Grades 1 and 3 are suggested for applications requiring
different levels of tensile strength and good crack resistance.
Type II: This type is used in high-frequency applications.
Class L: Grades 3 and 4 are used where crack resistance is
necessary. Grades 2 and 4 are used where color coding is
required.
Class M: Grade 2 is used where color coding is required.
Class H: Grades 1 and 3 are suggested for applications requiring
different levels of tensile strength and good crack resistance.
Type III: This type is weather resistant (obtained by the
addition of carbon-black), and may also be used in dielectric
applications.
Class L: Grade 3 has good crack resistance while grade 4 has
superior crack resistance and is suitable for use as cable
jacketing where the best weathering characteristics are required.
Grades 2, 3, and 4, containing more carbon-black than grade 1, will
maintain weather resistance for a considerably longer period of
time.
Class M: Grades 2 and 3, containing more carbon-black than grade
1, will maintain weather resistance for a considerably longer
period of time.
Class H: Grades 1 and 2 are suggested for applications requiring
different levels of tensile strength and good crack resistance.
