This standard applies to hydraulic excavators as defined in SAE
J1057 and J1193.
Purpose—This standard provides a uniform method to calculate and a test procedure to validate hydraulic excavator lift capacity. It establishes definitions and specifies machine conditions for calculations in Section 1 and identifies the validating test procedure in Section 2.
