Description / Abstract:
Form
This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of bars, forgings and flash welded rings up to 4.000 inch (101.6 mm), inclusive, in nominal thickness or distance between parallel sides, and stock of any size for forging or flash welded rings (see 8.6).
Applications
These products have been used typically for parts requiring a combination of resistance to creep and stress-rupture up to 1300 °F (704 °C), oxidation resistance up to 1800 °F (982 °C), and good machinability, particularly parts which are welded and then precipitation heat treated to develop required properties, but usage is not limited to such applications.
