Form
This specification covers a titanium alloy in the form of sheet 0.020 to 0.1874 inches (0.51 to 4.760 mm), inclusive, in nominal thickness.
Application
This sheet product has been used typically for parts requiring a combination of high strength, toughness, and oxidation resistance up to 1200 °F (649 °C) but usage is not limited to such applications.
Certain processing procedures and service conditions may cause this product to become subject to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP982 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
