Description / Abstract:
1. Scope - This SAE Standard specifies minimum performance criteria and test methods to enable uniform assessment of the service, secondary, and parking brake systems of crawler machines.
It is applicable to self-propelled crawler machines defined in ISO 6165 and SAE J1116 (except forestry machines which are covered by SAE J/ISO 11512) with a maximum design speed of 20 km/h or less and machine mass of 100 000 kg or less.
